Content is crucial when it comes to doing it on your own in the music game. If you’re not producing music, you’re producing a music video, Tweeting, and Facebooking - anything to tell your fans that you’re still working, that you still exist.
My guys at Smokey Robotic get this. We’ve been so broke and strapped for cash, but the show must go on. So with some new gear borrowed from Topman and a space provided by Bulldog Gin, it was action time.

I was drawn to the band last summer. While in New York I met with Seer, Father Dude, and illmind. Konrad OldMoney in Vancouver BC introduced me to his guys to see if I would be interested in helping out with management. For me, it wasn’t about if they were nice guys or if I thought I could sell their music. It was about the vision and if there was one beyond just selling some CD’s.
A year later and nearly 20 music videos later, here we are, all of us in New York making things happen. You’ve probably never heard of Smokey Robotic. But when you do, figuring out their journey won’t be a mystery.
Not only is their journey my journey. But it’s also documented all over the internet.
Thank God for YouTube.
