BLOG

I ended up at Ohana’s in Belltown a few weeks ago for the filming of this music video for Kore Ionz’s song, “First Avenue” ft Preometheus Brown aka Geo. The hip thing about Seattle is that you use all your friends in your music videos.

Geo and UW’s Hip Hop Association’s queen, Jessica Hu, play a couple going through some stuff. Maybe you can relate…

This is so Deep. Huy Pham back in Seattle!

This mission statement from Deep reminds me of the GO HARD. SUPERSTAR. state of mind.

Breakdancer and DJ Huy Pham from Portland has been leading the dance scene in Portland for years. He’s one of those guys that I’ve known for years and am impressed and inspired every year he keeps doing what he’s doing, and all for the love of it.

There are so many young folks out there doing their thing. Not all of them will continue to pursue their dance passions as the realities of the “real world” creep in. That’s why it’s so important and makes sense for people like Huy Pham to create opportunities for others. It reminds us to be balanced and in this world, you’re allowed to pick your own adventure.

The Deep dance party tour is coming to Seattle in June 1.

Ka.lil - Whiskey Mask [Music Video]

Ka.lil dropped a little music video in the middle of the night like it ain’t no thing. He wears a furry head piece. Ya know…it’s cool. Oh, by the way, keep an eye out for his solo project this June.

Nacho Picasso & Avatar Darko “Vampire” (Prod. AraabMuzik) is your shit right now.

HIT PLAY NOW. DREAMY…

Oh, what a fun night it was! The Flavr Blue sold out show at Barboza. A recap. For those who weren’t there…

A new video by MC Ka.lil aka Khingz. We love this guy. Congrats on signing with Canada’s Wandering Worx Entertainment and holding it down in Seattle. Ka.lil’s solo project comes out this summer, very exciting for those who know his past works with Abyssinian Creole and Hi-Life Soundsystem and know what he’s all about.

Craving Amazing

imageSoooo, someone’s been holding out on us, and we don’t blame him. We learned that to be an actual artist in the scene, you actually need to stay home, hone your craft, and actually do the work in creating your art.

So we don’t hate on anyone going MIA, we know what you’re probably up to.

But this guy, Mr. Mikey McClarron, a professional socialite, managed to be everywhere (emceeing nightly club events, working on Rich Kids Brand, and more) and stil produce this amazing project, “Craving Amazing.”

I haven’t asked him yet, but I wonder if this was just a project he needed to get out as a form of expression just to say what he needed to say, or if there are bigger plans to move into the musician/artist world.

Well, when anyone puts up a website like this, you know there’s more to come.

I see you McClarron…
